Red Hat Sales Kick Off 2008

The Sales Kick Off is an annual event for closing the financial year and training and informing the employees about the coming year.

Because the offices are spread all over America and Europe, this is the only time when all the Red Hat employees are together. That is one of the reasons why we have an afternoon dedicated to team building games and hold a few dinners / social evenings so the people can get to know each other.
This year Blue Projects organized The Red Hat Sales Kick Off in Malaga. Participants stayed in the brand-new Barceló Business Hotel in Malaga and presentations were held there as well. The hotel has modern, luxury meeting rooms in different sizes, perfect for an event like this!
Blue Projects took care of the entertainment, catering, hotel bookings, meeting rooms, audio visual technology and logistics. In order to allow everyone to get to know each other and enjoy everything Malaga has to offer, we organized the 'Olympic-games' on the beach. After half a day of meetings, participants were able to finally change into a Red Hat t-shirt, tracksuit bottoms and sneakers. The weather was hot but the energetic music and stimulating words of the sport instructor encouraged everyone to keep going. After an exciting final round the winners were announced. Those who took 1st, 2nd and 3rd place expressed their delight on stage with a bottle of champagne. Afterwards there were drinks and delicious food at a private Yachting club in Malaga. A Spanish guitarist played during the evening and La Bomba Cova provided entertainment for the latter part of the evening. This Spanish band creates music with pans and other kinds of kitchen implements, they gave an impressive, unique performance and the audience loved it!
The last evening was special too. After days of listening and concentration, the participants were given time to talk to each other in the warm glow of the evening. Five buses were used to take the guests to Castillo de Santa Catalina near Malaga, a beautiful castle built on a hill with a stunning sea view. Drinks, delicious canapés, a stylish setting and a DJ who played excellent background music made the atmosphere very special that evening!
