ABN AMRO North Sea Regatta 2008

The North Sea Regatta is the biggest sea-based sailing event in The Netherlands. Every year the competition takes place during Whit weekend in the Port of Scheveningen. The competition starts with off shore races (De Vuurschepenrace) from Scheveningen to Harwich and, after this race there are other competitions involving the English coastline. After a long distance race back to the Harbour of Scheveningen, the competition starts along the Scheveningen coastline. The North Sea Regatta is very special for Blue Projects.

For the second time, Blue Projects designed and decorated the Captains Club which consists of a restaurant, brasserie and reception where sponsors can welcome their guests. All guests received delicious hors d'oeuvres and drinks.
We also took care of project management, including the logistics for all rented equipment such as the furniture, flower decorations and kitchen inventory.
Blue Projects organized the hospitality as well. This included welcoming guests of the sponsors at the reception desk, escorting them to the VIP Ribs for an exiting boat trip and then escorting them to their table in the restaurant. Paul van Waarden was the chef and Ruud de Geus the sommelier, providing a glass of fantastic wine.

Target group

The sponsors, their guests and the sailors had a lovely day on the sea with VIP Ribs and enjoyed either lunch or dinner after the boat trip.

Objective

To create a VIP Restaurant with a stylish atmosphere where sponsors could receive their guests and provide them with a stunning lunch or dinner.
